Picnik in Picasa Web Albums
When Picnik was acquired by Google a few months back, we were so excited by the possibilities. How many ways could we use this big worldwide platform to tell even more people about the awesomeness that is Picnik? One giant step we are taking today is the integration of Picnik into Picasa Web Albums. When you select “edit” inside of Picasa Web Albums, you now have the option of using Picnik to edit your photo. So from today, all Picasa Web Albums users have seamless access to the editing power of Picnik without ever leaving their account. When you save your edited photo back to your PWA album, you can either replace the old image or save a new copy. For our Picnik Premium members, you can access your premium account features from right inside of your Picasa Web Album account. And of course, you can always still pull your images into Picnik from your PWA account without ever leaving Picnik!
We’re thrilled to be able to announce this step in our integration with Google, and we hope you are too. Happy Picasaniking!

Do PWA users have access to the advanced features as mentioned in the NYT article:
http://bits.blogs.nytimes.com/2010/07/13/online-photo-storage-competition-heats-up/?ref=technology
I tried it today and was asked to upgrade my account.

Love the idea of the Picasa Web Albums integration, nicely done.
On another point, I’ve never previously hit the “Buzz” button on your Picnik front page, then I noticed you are still Buzzing 2007 comments, compliments. Isn’t that like LIGHT YEARS in the computer/cyber world? I’d hope you are certainly not sitting on your laurels with 2007 comments! Way back in 2007, I had more hair on my head, and less growing out of my ears… hardly something to Buzz about. You know YOU can do much, much better than rely on 2007 comments/compliments.

yay!
July 20th, 2010 at 9:09 am
Sorry, but that was their mistake! You will still be required to upgrade through Picasa.

The only thing tht would make the Picasa/Picnik link better that I can see right now is a way to name the phot you’ve edited and are saving as something else.

I have spend hours on this going round in circles.
there is no tech support or contact email for piknik, does anyone know what I can do .
I feel like my money has just been taken…I signed for 12 months and am very upset.

just curious, i love using Picnik Premium everyday and have been for over a year now and I was just curious as to why the same featured artists have been on the front of website everyday for the entire time Ive been using it? Nothing against those artists at all because they have great work but why do they never change the featured artists? Thanks..
