Rainy Picniks and Snowy Cities

posted by justin Dec 22nd, 2008

I’d like to apologize to all of our users for the stability problems we’ve had over the past few days.  Picnik has experienced tremendous growth over the past months and we’re starting to see the limits of some of our network gear.

Mike and I have braved the Seattle Snowpocalypse, trudging across Capitol Hill and Madrona to be in the office today to work on resolving the issues. We’re hoping to unclog those pipes very soon. Stay tuned…

Update: We’re back at 100%. Many thanks for your patience!

I noticed the same thing this afternoon but I thought it was our network. I used the coolage yeasterday to make some cool banners and things that I did not know were possible. You should have a page of examples!!!

Like the others, i thought it was just me too. . .
Glad to see that picnik is popular… but not so happy that it’s literally, bursting at the seams. . . good luck, and thanks for all your work. :)

I can not connect to my myspace. I have checked the boxes and tried through myspace apps to connect. Will you please help me?

I noticed some issues still this morning in trying to make a banner. I click on “create” and the cogs just spin their wheels.
    Merry Christmas!

Yes, I too, have noticed issues with picnik, but mainly with the save feature. I edited a beautiful Christmas photo with 29 members of a family (in this state alone), making it Black and White and only showing the red of the Santa hats and some of the red shirts that were worn. It’s gotta be my “favoritest” photo I’ve edited through your website, which I literally use every single day. I am a photographer, and do a ton of portraits, and outside family candid shots. Unfortunately, I’m running into a “save and share” issue, even still today, and without being able to save the photo to my computer, I’m unable to deliver the end product to my customers. I would hate to resort to a different website for the time being, but I also understand what it’s like to have “bugs” in the system, or even “weather” issues. I do hope and pray that everything is resolved soon, and I am willing to show a little more patience. I am always so pleased with my end results, and I guess I could give my customers a discount while I wait for my FAVORITE photo editing website to get back on track!!! =) Merry Christmas picnik!!!
