Collage!?! You asked for it! :)

posted by charlie Aug 22nd, 2008

After dozens (hundreds?) of requests, months (truly) of work, hours of (debate) discussion, and enough prototype & sample collages to finally finish the exterior of the Bird’s Nest.  We’re very proud of it, and somehow we still believe there’s so much more to do for it!

Collage and photo layers are available to Premium folks as their very special preview for a limited time – which is another great benefit of subscribing!  Not to worry, non-subscribers… cool elements of Collage and Layering will be available soon for you as well.

You’ll see a few samples coming up out there… but we suspect you’ll find your way into some very cool creations of your own!  Please let us know via the Feedback button inside Picnik if you’d like to see other elements added… or what you think could work so much better!

The Team
The Team brought to you by Picnik Collage*!  Dude… I just realized we need a Brady Bunch effect.

*(no designers were used during the creation of this collage – except for that cool stamp in the corner ;) )

Kathleen – sorry for the delay in responding. Not to worry, it will be available soon to non-premium folks. One of the great benefits to being a Premium member is getting to play with this stuff first!

Please also note the Premium version will retain some extra coolness after we open it up.

    Thanks, Charlie, Picnik.com

You can find it like this.
When it takes you to your library, there are a couple tabs and one of them says start. Click that tab and then it says “Make a Picnik Collage.”
    And that’s it :)

I understand that this feature will eventually be able to be accessed by non-members…but what’s the point if I can just go over to Picasa and use theirs NOW?

It was available (only about a handful of collage options) for free for awhile. I even used it to make some cool 4 window collages. Now i go to the site, and it’s not there! What a rip! Won’t pay for that! I don’t need collages that bad. I will find something else till they come to there senses.
