How To #2: Effect Painting
posted by peter May 15th, 2008
Picnik’s very own Community Liaison in Charge of Flickr Operations, Brenda, has knocked up an excellent video tutorial of Effect Painting for the Picnikers group on Flickr. For those of you not regular contributors to the Picnikers Flickr Group (and if not, why not? There’s prizes to be had!), Brenda’s an American-in-New Zealand photography enthusiast with three kids, a gazillion photo sets, and an uncanny knack for harnessing the power of Flickr’s new video tool thingie. In fact she’s so good at this newfangled technology, we just had to post this here, too:
And of course this technique can be used on any of Picnik’s effects with the little
icon!

How do you use colorsplash effect?
October 21st, 2009 at 9:46 pm
Занятно пишете, жизненно. Все-таки, для того, чтобы делать по-настоящему интересный блог, нужно не только сообщать о чем-то, но и делать это в интересной форме:)

That was entirely cool. I will watch it again to make sure I understand it. Are these the same colors that were in the birds originally and if so, why re-color them again?
February 3rd, 2010 at 2:34 pm
Liz, yes, same colours. I wasn’t so much re-colouring them as removing the colour from the rest of the photo. :)
