  1. Lou Says:

Um … what’s wrong with Picnik Premium?

  2. John Knight Says:

Much better. IMO, Deluxe, Plus and Pro are all equally as good, although ‘Pro’ will egender very high ‘professional’ quality expectations. Can the product live up to that?

Howabout: ‘Ultra’ or does that sound like a cheap aftershave?

  3. Chris Says:

    I picked Picnic Primo.

Deluxe and/or Ultra are totally overused and have lost all meaning.
    Sky, hmm what’s that mean?
Pro, I’m just an average Joe not a professional so I don’t need or am going to pay for that. And if I really am a professional I’m going to trash talk this service for being inadequate for my needs. Either way its a bad choice.
Primo/Plus are descriptive and accurately explain that it is simply an upgraded tier. Primo’s a bit more unique so I’ll go with that, though Plus might more quickly/clearly explain to a new user what exactly it is.

  4. fullfilth Says:

I chose Picnik Pro. Can I have Pro account for voting this? :P

  5. John Says:

Sky is quite unique and helps distinguish Picnik promgrams from others. Deluxe, Pro, Primo are all so old fashioned software approaches.

Sky is blue, sky high, perfect for a Picnic. Go against “popular” opinion here. Go for the sky!

  6. zenyenta Says:

I picked Plus. It’s very clear. Picnik is good. Plus is more. And there’s alliteration to boot.

  7. Terry Deboo Says:

Why not “Picnik Gourmet” or “Picnik Connoisseur” or something similar in order to capitalize on the al fresco allusion in your name?

  8. Linda Says:

I chose Plus for the same reasons as zenyenta. It’s simple and to the point.

IMO, Primo sounds entirely too fad-ish and limits your marketing power.

I somewhat agree with John and Chris regarding the “Pro” name, but with software, people are accustomed to Pro names for software that isn’t technically for professionals. In my mind, it simply conjures up an image of more features.

  9. Lynne Says:

I want to vote for Picnik Gourmet — same reason as Terry — but it is not a choice, so I went with Plus as a very poor 2nd choice. The others are out. When you have problems, instead of viruses or bugs, you can have ants.

  10. sailmaster13 Says:

Lynne might be onto something. How about Piknik Ants (additional neat touches) or similar words to fit the acroynm? Otherwise, I’ll just go with Picnic Plus!

  11. ian Says:

    Picnic Personal Plus!
Sounds even better alliteration and gets the message over. After all…it’s aimed to be your own personal pictool!

  12. David Pehrson Says:

To me, Primo sounds more like a type of sausage or sandwich meat, but maybe that would be good for a Picnik theme… I voted Pro but actually I agree with others that it’s a little ‘heavy’. Have you considered doing things in reverse and calling the free version something like Picnik Free/Basic/LE/etc… ?? This might give people a constant reminder that they’re not using the full product. Otherwise I’d go Gourmet.

  13. Gwen Says:

How about PickNik Free For Dummies Only?

  14. Virginia Says:

My two cents (some shamelessly pilfered from an Aussie friend of mine):

    Picnik On the Grass
    Picnik In the Shade
Picnik Lunch (because there’s no such thing as a free lunch, so the non-free version should be Picnik Lunch! Haha!)
Picnik Piñata (lots of goodies inside!)
    Picnik Power! (they’re making a He-Man movie!)

Unfortunately your designer doesn’t like the feasibility of very many of them.

  15. paula Says:

i chose picnik primo just because it sounds cool =]

  16. Kate Says:

Too funny – when I clicked on the link to see the name choices… I was half expecting to see “picnik ant” or “picnik PB & J” .. LOL

  17. Sarah Says:

I thought of a totally unique one – “Camphotonik” …. can be read as……camp (picnic) or it can be read as “cam” (camera – get it?)- “photo” – nik….perhaps for an upgrade option ?? ok maybe it’s best for the basic version that is no charge!

  18. Sarah Says:

    ok.. primo it is

  19. Robert Says:

    Picnik Supreme sounds delicious !

  20. Larry Kelly Says:

Picnik Blanket. A blanket covers everything.

  21. Brenda Says:

I chose “Sky” because it was different. :)

  22. W. David Samuelsen Says:

    Picnik! Picnik!

if top of line, it would be Picnik Pro. Nothing else! Folks are already talking about the name Picnik.

  23. Heather Says:

I just learned about Picnik, and I’m already a big fan. What do you think about naming the complete version the Picnik Feast?

  24. Luis Orellana Says:

You should name it picnik photo
All the other choices do not make it abovious to the consumer what picnik is…….

  25. Justin Anthony Says:

Picnik Blanket is good. Also, The Picnik Basket would be good for talking about the whole family of Picnik products.

  26. Sam Says:

I say Picnik Plus would have been best because Picnik pro sounds like a pro product for pros that you need to take a long time to learn which is not picnik. Also,is used so often that you don’t even give it thought. Deluxe sounds too over the top, picnik primo just doesn’t suit picnik, and picnik sky? what? That gives my no incentive to get it, plus “sky” doesn’t go with picnik. Overal, I wish more people voted for plus.

  27. Changing Way Says:

    My Picnik With Flickr…

If you keep your photos on the web and want to do your photo editing on the web too, I recommend Picnik. So does Walt Mossberg.
[Picnik] is focused on being an editing complement to popular Web services — such as Yahoo’s Flickr, Google’s Picasa W…

  28. Pat Says:

I know I’m to late but I like the name ‘Picknik Elite’

    Chers,

    Познавательно. Подпишусь-ка я на RSS пожалуй. :)

  32. Владимир Says:

Большое спасибо, что просветили, и, главное, как раз вовремя. Подумать только, шесть лет уже в инете, но про это первый раз слышу.

  33. Тимур Says:

Весьма тонко подмечено. В чем-то себя узнал :)
